• Installed purple martin house, 12 units, gourd style, played martin songs, saw some martins looking . Worried about butterfly garden too close to Martin house. Will observe in Feb. 06 when Martins return
• Installed new bird feeder near house
• Maintained river trail with weed eater to clear trail

Supplemental Shelter

• Retained old snags for cavity dwellers.
• Left some downed logs when collecting firewood and downed brush for swales.
• Bird houses
  • Bluebird house at pasture well.
  • Bat box is curing to be erected this spring at river bluff.
• Left brush piles
  • At clearings.
  • Behind barn.
  • Along road.
• Maintained woodlands throughout.
