Extreme drought conditions, noticed many dead and stressed Ashe Juniper trees.

Noticed five dead Ashe Juniper trees along driveway

  • filled man-made pond
  • put up one more Hummingbird feeder, now four
  • put out Sunflower seeds and dog food for Raccoons
  • Saw two Possums, five Raccoons, and one Skunk at feeding area near porch with dog food
  • Saw eight Turkeys at feeding area with Sunflower seeds on the ground
  • Saw a flock of Cedar Waxwings at river
  • Replaced 'Do Not Disturb Riparain Area' sign

Sign at River island reads "Scientific Research, Riparian Study Area, Please Do Not Disturb Vegetation or Wildlife, for more information call..."

  • Lantana plants in full bloom
  • left only 6 Hummingbird feeders up, not many Hummingbirds
  • many Sparrows
  • heard Red-shouldered Hawk
  • many Cardinals
  • Blue-grey Gnatcatcher at Bee brush plant

  • filled all bird feeders with sunflower seeds and seed mix
  • watered yard
