- Removed 3 strands of barbed wire on fence at deer crossing, total 4 spans, replaced with one strand of non-barbed wire.

- Saw many migrant hummingbirds
- Saw Rufous Hummingbird (new addition to census list)
- Added 4 hummingbird feeders for migrating hummingbirds. A mixture of 4 units of water to one unit of sugar.
- Removed rag weed that had overgrown hummingbird habitat at river, exposed four-o'clocks, turk's cap and frostweed

Continued maintenance along river trail, removed some rag weed over hanging trail.

- Installed purple martin house, 12 units, gourd style, played martin songs, saw some martins looking . Worried about butterfly garden too close to Martin house. Will observe in Feb. 06 when Martins return
- Installed new bird feeder near house
- Maintained river trail with weed eater to clear trail
