Spread Christmas tree mulch onto walking trails.
Caretakers note:
Every year in early January, the City of Austin invites citizens to bring their used Christmas trees (with tinsel removed) to Zilker Park where it is all mulched with large shredders. The public is invited to come and collect the mulch on a first come first serve basis. Caretakers collected 2 trailer loads.

The first meaningful rain in more than 6 months, 2.6 inches! There was no visible run off. It had been dry for so long that the rain soaked into the ground.

A large group of 30 Wild Turkeys roam around the house, caretakers put out Black-oil Sunflower seeds, scattered on the ground.
