  • Refreshed all Hummingbird feeders
  • Saw 2 Hummingbirds, a Woodpecker, and a few Titmouses, Cardinals and Chickadees

October 22 2012

  • Report from worker - Saw small Deer wounded from aluminum bow & arrow
  • Caretakers note:  Do not leave wounded animals - take a good clean shot to the heart.  Probably a neighbors kid who does not know any better
  • Saw Rock Squirrel filling cheeks with seeds
  • Did not see very many birds. Saw 2 Chickadees and heard a Canyon Wren at bluff.  What happened to them? Predator? Hawk? Raccoons?  Did they migrate?  What about those that stay here year round like Cardinals etc?

  • Refreshed the Hummingbird feeders
  • Saw a Black Squirrel
  • Saw a Fox on a Cedar tree where sunflower seeds were put by caretaker
  • Saw one Hummingbird,  a Cardinal and a Titmouse

  • Refreshed  Hummingbird feeders - took down 4 more, totally of 6 feeders out
  • Saw some Hummingbirds out but very few other birds
  • Saw a male and female Woodpecker
  • Saw a male and female Cardinal
  • Saw a Chickadee

  • Saw 2 Crows flying overhead
  • Saw Great Blue Heron
  • Saw Cardinals, titmouse, chickadee, woodpecker
  • Saw Rock Squirrel
  • Saw frogs in pond
  • Continued to remove KR grass - 2 large bags
  • Removed barbed wire from fence for Deer safety
  • Cut Junipers out from under Oaks surviving in Oak Wilt World
