Caretakers rescued a Cricket Frog from the pond to protect it during the cold winter.

It was kept in a glass jar with small amount of water and some grasses, inside the house.

It was fed tiny crickets.

It will be released in the same area where it was found as soon as the threat of freeze has passed.

Hay Barn Pond with Bushy Bluestem grasses

Caretakers use a water hose with a very slow drip to keep the water full in the pond. 

It is tied down to an old Juniper stump to keep it in place.
