  • Caretaker rescued a lizard that was being eaten by a snake. The lizard lost some if its tail.
  • Saw another snake slithering along the sidewalk by the house.

                                       Central Texas Whip Snake

 

Caretakers note: The Central Texas Whip Snake was released and quickly slid to the top of this Ashe Juniper tree. The red underside of its belly is visible as a thin horizontal line in the upper center of the photo.

  • Only .3 Inches of rain
  • Saw a fox at the feeding area
  • saw a male Painted Bunting
  • 3 dead mice found in cistern overflow (caretakers sealed all openings for mice on roof gutters)
  • Monarch caterpillars on Antelope Horn
  • Two Toads seen at dusk
  • cut and mulched Junipers directly under Cedar Elms (along driveway)
