  • Removed mother feral cat and three newborn kittens from the house porch using a live trap, and relocated them a few miles away.

  • Saw 5 Caterpillars on Passion Flower Vine
  • Saw a butterfly coming out of its cocoon, and watched it fill its wings then flew away with another butterfly

  • Saw baby Anole Lizard
  • Saw Hawk
  • Removed dried mud from mud pond and relcated away from drainage to remove invasive water plants.
  • Planned new access to river
  • Planned concrete path for road that crosses the Draw

  • Noticed many green sprouts on downed trees along the river which are left as is to regrow.
  • Met with Blacke Hendon from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to discuss a prescribed burn on one acre in the pasture to control KR Bluestem.

A Cypress tree survivor. Even with much of the bark torn away by the flood, this giant seems to be recovering from the flood.
Caretakers note: Began clearing what is left of the river trail, being careful not to disturb trees that are still green and growing despite being knocked over by the flood. watersto_jennystone lost about 1/2 of the large cypress trees along the river bank.
