  • Removed 20 Chinaberry trees from river bottom, dug out 2-4 feet deep, slashed stub with saw
  • Squarebud primrose blooming in cage at tipi, saw black and white spotted bugs on it

  • Planted Yaupon holly at river bottom below steps down bluff to river in cage (still watching to see if it survives)
  • Caged 3 yuccas from deer browse, protected white and red blooms
  • Released flood debris from elderberry planted in cage at river edge

  • Planted 5 more Bois d'Arc
    • North side of gate entrance
    • At south side well pasture in swale
    • Between bobcat draw road crossing and future pond in gully in view of house (pruned cedar around)
    • In coon draw between tipi and draw
    • In draw on hill above road crossing
  • Transplanted elderberry from river trail to sink out flow at barn (did not survive soapy water overflow)

  • Planted 13 Bois d'Arc and Osage orange bare root seedlings (from Texas Forest Service) along south and north fence line below the bluff at river bottom land
  • Noticed lots of baby red oak seedlings coming up from acorns scattered/planted last year
